Podiatry BSc (Hons) Podiatry; PG Cert.; Sports Podiatry
I have over 11 years of theoretical and clinical Podiatric experience in Biomechanics within the NHS, MOD and private sector; ensuring the delivery of evidence based biomechanical assessment and treatment, with the ability to provide the highest quality patient care working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
I hold the position of Joint Clinical Lead in Podiatric Biomechanics for Torbay Care Trust, where I lead, develop and provide a specialist podiatric biomechanical/musculo-skeletal service, working alongside Physiotherapists, Fitness Instructors, Orthotist and Orthopaedic Surgeons. I also work at the Nuffield Private Hospital through referrals which are received from Orthopaedic Surgical Consultants, G.P’s and Physiotherapists.
I find the foot itself to be an amazing piece of engineering and design in it’s role as the interface between the body and the ground. The feet are such an important mechanism and can suffer greatly from overuse and fatigue. My aim through assessment and treatment of not just the foot, but also the ankle and lower limb, is to achieve optimum functionality in order to improve performance along with comfort and relief from pain.
