When the Tour of Britain came to Exmouth in September, The Massage Clinic set up a mobile clinic on the seafront with a team of experienced and student therapists offering 20 minute massage treatments and computerised gait analysis sessions in aid of Force, a local cancer charity. The team was delighted to raise a total of £226.
The glorious weather and the high profile nature of this great sporting event helped to make the day an incredible success. From the start till late afternoon, the clinic’s three mobile tents were a popular destination for local people, visitors and amateur sportspeople, in particular cyclists, with queues forming at key times during the day.
Therapists offered tailored treatments and assessments specific to individual needs and injuries. All types of sports and non-sports related musculoskeletal dysfunctions were treated from stiff necks, lower back ache and tight calves to recovering rotator cuff and knee injuries. Many people just wanted a relaxation massage to help them switch off for a few minutes.
What a fantastic day it was to showcase all that is great about Exmouth…. and massage therapy!
