A team of Royal Marines Commandos who are recovering from wounds, injury or illness mostly sustained during operations in Afghanistan, rowed the length of the Thames from 10-14 July - from Lechlade to Westminster, an incredible 150 miles and 45 locks - raising funds for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust. Supporting them on this physically and mentally demanding challenge was a volunteer team of Sports and Remedial Massage Therapists from The Massage Clinic. Setting up a daily mobile clinic, the team provided treatments to help muscle recovery, minimise the possibility of injury and contribute to the marines' ongoing rehabilitation. It was so rewarding for the team to be part of such a fantastic challenge and to use their skills to assist so many inspirational and determined individuals.
