This treatment involves the use of massage and advanced soft tissue manipulation in conjunction with exercise advice for the treatment, rehabilitation and management of muscular-skeletal injuries. These may be caused by sport, work, trauma or disorder, or just general activity. The treatment can also be used effectively to enhance sporting and physical performance.
Sports & Remedial Massage treatments involve the use of advanced techniques to achieve a specific outcome. When a client presents with an injury, for example a frozen shoulder, the injury site will be assessed, the muscles and supporting structures involved will be identified and then the treatment will focus on stretching the muscles and breaking down scar tissue to drain the area.
Following evaluation and treatment, the practitioner will take the client through an exercise programme to be followed at home. In some cases the therapist may advise referral to the Exmouth Chiropractic Clinic for further treatment, or to Exe Pilates where experienced instructors will take the client through an individually tailored Core Rehabilitation programme.
