The Massage Training School's first eight Diploma students have
all graduated gaining their BTEC Professional Diploma (Level 5) in Clinical Sports
and Remedial Massage which makes them some of the most highly trained
practitioners in the UK.
The school is one of only a handful of specialist training institutions in the UK accredited by the
ISRM (Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage) to deliver what is regarded as the highest professional qualification in sports and remedial massage.
The newly qualified graduates will be able to take their pick from
a wide variety of self-employment opportunities in the private healthcare and sports sectors, particularly given growing demand for professional
practitioners in the lead up to next year’s Olympics. All are eligible for full membership of the ISRM which entitles them to register with the CNHC (the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), the regulatory body for the industry, and thereby attain the corresponding quality standard.
A second group of students is due to graduate this September, while a third group started the Diploma course mid June 2011.
